Carpenter – Job Advertisement

Position: Full time Carpenter

Location: [Burnside, VIC]

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Superannuation

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our growing construction team. The successful applicant will work on residential and commercial building projects, delivering high-quality carpentry work while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other building materials.
- Construct, install and repair frameworks, walls, roofs, flooring, staircases, doors and windows.
- Install skirting boards, architraves, cabinetry and other fixtures.
- Carry out formwork, cladding, decking and renovation work as required.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and building regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with WHS requirements.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors,



tradespeople and clients to complete projects on schedule.

Essential Requirements

- AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant post-qualification work experience .
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

Desirable Experience

- in residential and commercial construction.
- Working at Heights, EWP or First Aid certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
