Role Description

The Department Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Deniliquin, NSW, responsible for overseeing daily operations within a designated department - Product Quality, People Performance and Customer Experience departments. This includes planning workloads, allocating resources, and ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards. The role involves supervising and coaching team members, managing performance, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. The Department Manager will monitor key performance indicators, manage budgets, streamline processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The position also requires effective communication with senior management,



coordination with other departments, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in department or team management, including staff supervision and performance management.
- Solid organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the McDonald's system is preferred, or relevant experience in a leadership role.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across diverse teams.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, compliance with relevant regulations, and promotion of safe work practices.
- Experience in a similar industry or operational environment is beneficial; prior leadership experience in regional or on-site settings is an advantage.
- Relevant McDonald's Training Centre courses, such as LT & AYL, DLM and others are preferred, or equivalent experience in a leadership role.
