About the Role
Reporting directly to the business owners, the Farm Lead will play a key role in the day to day management of the farm while leading staff and ensuring effective and compliant operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising the farm team
- Coordinating daily production activities
- Ensuring compliance with biosecurity, animal welfare and workplace safety requirements
- Monitoring flock health and production performance
- Ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
- Assisting with staff training and onboarding
- Managing daily work schedules and task allocation
- Recording production data and reporting outcomes
- Liaising with management regarding operational improvements
- Maintaining farm equipment and facilities
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- A positive and professional attitude
- Experience within agriculture, poultry or livestock industries (highly regarded)
