- Part time (30.4 hours per week), fixed term contract until 31st December 2026, with the possibility of extension

About the Role:

Join a specialist Justice Services team supporting people transitioning from custody back into the community and overcoming their alcohol and other drug challenges. Working alongside an experienced Justice Services Counsellor, you will help clients reduce reoffending, strengthen their recovery, and access the services they need to build a positive future.

In this role, you will provide one-on-one case management, facilitate group sessions, undertake assessments, and contribute to treatment and relapse prevention planning. Working collaboratively with justice, health and community service providers, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based support to people recently released from prison, helping them successfully reintegrate into the community.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing individual case management and support
- Conducting assessments and developing support plans
- Supporting people transitioning from custody into the community
- Linking clients with health, housing, employment and community services
- Maintaining case notes and reporting requirements

Requirements of the Role:





- Certificate IV Alcohol and Other Drugs (or related qualification in health/community services)
- Case management experience working within the AOD or another relevant sector

Demonstrated computer literacy, including experience using Microsoft 365 and client information systems.

- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of and experience in working with quality improvement systems in the AOD/community services environment
- Working With Vulnerable People Clearance
- Criminal History Check
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia
- Diploma Alcohol and Other Drugs (Community Services / Mental Health)
- Experience working in custodial setting or with forensic cohort
