Verve Partners is partnering with a respected boutique engineering consultancy specialising in water and wastewater infrastructure.
The team delivers projects across investigation, concept and detailed design, construction support, commissioning and handover.
This opportunity is suited to a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in design and project delivery for pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities and related water assets.
You will remain closely involved in the technical work while managing projects, clients and multidisciplinary teams. The role offers genuine autonomy, direct exposure to councils and utilities, and the opportunity to influence project outcomes without excessive corporate process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead water and wastewater projects from investigation and concept design through to commissioning and handover
- Undertake and oversee the design of pipelines, gravity mains, pump stations, treatment facilities and associated infrastructure
- Prepare and review calculations, reports, specifications, drawings and tender documentation
- Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process design inputs
- Manage project budgets, programmes, risks, deliverables and client expectations
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction and commissioning
- Build relationships with councils, utilities, contractors and regulatory stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical designs
What You’ll Bring
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Circa 10 years Australian water and wastewater infrastructure design and project delivery experience.
- Demonstrated design experience across pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities or related water assets.
- Experience delivering projects from concept and detailed design through to construction support, commissioning and handover.
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D is highly advantageous.
- Strong project, client and multidisciplinary stakeholder management capability.
- Clear technical writing, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative consultancy environment.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally when required.
