Role Overview

- Position: Biological Research Evaluator – Contract, Remote
- Commitment: 10–20 hours weekly, potential to scale to 40 hours
- Duration: Initial commitment of 1–2 months, with opportunities for extension
- Mission: Test AI models' ability to understand and mitigate failures in biological research protocols.

Responsibilities

- Evaluate the capabilities of AI models in the field of biology.
- Test models' understanding of potential failures in biological research protocols.
- Identify ways to mitigate issues in biological research methodologies.
- Collaborate with AI labs to develop a state-of-the-art benchmark for model evaluation.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines and contribute to AI model performance improvement.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

- Current Ph.D. student or higher degree (e.g., Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Scientist) in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Bioengineering, Immunology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of wet lab experience.




- Extensive familiarity with research methods/protocols.
- Exceptional attention to detail and rigorous problem-solving skills.
- Excel in both written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in AI model evaluation in biological contexts.
- Familiarity with AI-generated content in scientific research.

Engagement Details

- Contract Type: Hourly contractor
- Compensation: Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
- Schedule: Versatile workload, fully remote, and asynchronous
- Location: Must be based in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
