The Opportunity
As an Intermediate Accountant within the Business Services team, you will work with a diverse client portfolio across a range of industries, assisting with compliance, tax and advisory-related matters.
You will gain exposure to:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
- BAS preparation and compliance requirements
- Tax planning and general taxation advice
- Assisting clients with business improvement and advisory matters
- Building strong relationships with clients and understanding their business goals
- Working with modern cloud accounting systems including Xero
About You
You will ideally have:
- 2+ years’ experience in Australian public practice accounting
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Exposure to a portfolio of SME clients
- Degree qualified in Accounting,
Commerce or a related discipline
- CA or CPA studies commenced (or a willingness to undertake)
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in developing client relationships
