About the role

Applied Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to join our team in Truganina, Victoria. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and delivering civil construction projects from inception through to completion. As Civil Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation and stakeholder communication. This role is essential to ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget whilst maintaining our high standards of quality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, schedule and coordinate all project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones
- Manage project budgets and costs, including procurement, invoicing and financial reporting
- Oversee site operations and supervise construction teams to ensure work is completed safely and to specification
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and relevant authorities to facilitate effective communication and project progression
- Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, safety standards and company policies
- Monitor project quality and implement corrective actions to maintain standards
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reports and records
- Manage variations, claims and disputes in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify work meets contractual requirements

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Civil Construction Project Manager,



managing medium to large-scale civil construction projects
- Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, methodologies and best practices
- Demonstrable experience with project planning, scheduling and cost management
- Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements and regulations specific to construction
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and direct site teams
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure
- Formal qualifications in civil engineering, construction management or related discipline
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
- Preferred: Experience with cost estimation, contract management and procurement processes
- Preferred: Knowledge of building information modelling (BIM) and digital construction technologies
