About the Role
Watson Marine Engineering is seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer to support our propeller technicians in a hands on, fast paced marine engineering workplace. Based in Coomera, this casual role offers full-time hours and an early finish every Friday.
No experience? No problem - full training is provided for the right applicant!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the repair and modification of marine propellers
- Use computerised measuring equipment to assess repairs and modifications
- Operate hydraulic presses and other workshop machinery
- Work with air and power tools
- Sandblasting, sanding, and polishing of metal components
- Perform general housekeeping and workshop upkeep
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to multitask and stay organised
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Australian Drivers License and own reliable transport
Desirable (but not essential):
- Forklift license
- Experience in the marine or metal fabrication industries
