What the role is

Our Gold Coast branch is looking for an experienced technician ready to step up into a role with real scope for growth. This position suits someone with around 3–5 years’ practical experience in construction materials testing who’s confident working across field and laboratory environments and is ready to build on their technical skills while taking on more responsibility and leadership.

You’ll carry out soil, aggregate and concrete testing in line with Australian and state standards, backed by experienced laboratory and regional leadership who’ll invest in your development. This is a genuine career pathway — not just a job. Over time you’ll take on greater responsibility, including mentoring others, coordinating day-to-day laboratory activities, and growing into a senior technician role.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring around 3–5 years’ experience in construction materials testing, along with:





- Practical experience in soil, aggregate, rock, grout or concrete testing;

- Familiarity with Australian Standards and Main Roads (QLD) testing methods;

- Experience in Level 1 & Level 2 Earthworks testing and inspections to AS3798;

- A current Nuclear Gauge Licence;

- Current Australian driver’s licence;

- White Card / OH&S; Induction card;

- Solid attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills;

- A proactive approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team;

- Previous NATA signatory experience would be an advantage;

- Understand the importance of integrity and honesty in the workplace;

- A genuine interest in growing into a senior technician or laboratory coordination role over time — we’ll help you get there.
