An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Supervisor to join our Coal Operations team, based on site in either our Greta or Tighes Hill terminal to lead day‑to‑day operational delivery.
This role suits a confident frontline leader who enjoys being close to the action, leading people through complexity, and making real decisions that matter.
What You’ll Do
As a Supervisor within our Coal operations, you’ll play a key leadership role in delivering safe and reliable rail services in a 24/7 environment.
Reporting To The Regional Manager, You Will
Lead and coordinate daily coal train operations across day and night shiftsProvide robust, visible safety leadership in a high‑risk operational settingLead, coach and engage a large, diverse workforceSupport train crews through clear communication, planning and on‑the‑ground leadershipManage resources, respond to disruptions and make real‑time operational decisionsDrive productivity, reliability and continuous improvementEffectively manage performance,
attendance and employee relations mattersBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partnersThis is a hands‑on leadership role with scale, influence and genuine accountability.
What You’ll Bring
We’re open‑minded about background. Rail experience is valued — but not essential. What matters most is your leadership capability and safety mindset.
You’ll Bring
Proven experience leading large teams in rail, transport, logistics, mining, heavy industry or similar operational environmentsDemonstrated ability to lead safe work practices and influence safety cultureStrong people leadership skills, including performance and attendance managementClear communication, sound judgment and confident decision‑makingThe ability to thrive in a 24/7, shift‑based environmentCurrent Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
