Lift Technician (Modernisation) – Electrical Licence Required

Location: Brisbane & Gold Coast (projects across SEQ)

Employment Type: Permanent

Pay Rate: $55–$60/hr + (DOE) + 17% Super

About the Company

We’re recruiting for a well-established lift/elevator contractor with a strong pipeline of modernisation and upgrade projects across South East Queensland. This is a permanent role offering consistent work, solid safety systems, and long-term career progression.

The Role You’ll be working across lift modernisation projects—upgrading electrical systems/components on existing lifts, supporting testing and commissioning activities, and working closely with site teams to deliver safe, high-quality upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

- Electrical works on lift modernisation/upgrades (component replacements, control gear works as applicable).
- Isolation, testing, fault-finding and functional checks.
- Assisting with commissioning and defect rectification.




- Reading schematics/drawings and following OEM procedures.
- Completing job documentation and maintaining safety compliance.
- Liaising with mechanics/other trades and site stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

- Current QLD Electrical Licence (mandatory).
- Lift modernisation experience or strong industrial/commercial upgrade background with willingness to learn lift systems.
- Driver’s licence + ability to travel between Brisbane and Gold Coast sites.
- Strong safety focus and reliable attendance.

Highly Regarded

- EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, CPR/LVR.
- Prior lift industry experience (mods/upgrades, controllers, landing doors/entrances).
