Lightning Express Couriers is looking for a reliable and safety-focused HR Truck Driver - Casual to join our team.
Please note, this is a hands-on truck driving role, not a parcel or package courier position. The role involves operating MR/HR trucks, completing delivery for commercial and construction customers, loading and unloading goods, securing loads and assisting in the yard when required.
This casual position is based in Bohle Plains Qld 4817 and includes local deliveries, with some out-of-town work as required.
This role would suite someone with previous truck driving or transport experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work safely and independently.
What you'll be doing
- Operating a MR/HR truck to complete local deliveries for commercial and construction customers, with some out-of-town jobs as required
- Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
- Loading and unloading goods safely, including securing loads appropriately
- Following all road traffic laws, regulations and company safety policies
- Communicating with the office, customers and team members as needed
- Maintaining delivery paperwork and records for each delivery
- Previous truck driving or transport experience preferred
- Physically fit and able to complete manual tasks
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Strong work ethic and safety-focused attitude
- Positive communication and customer service skills
- History of safe work practices
