Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of individual, SME and family group clients, acting as primary point of contact on tax matters.
- Review financial statements, tax returns and compliance work prepared by the team.
- Provide proactive tax planning, structuring and complex advisory support.
- Oversee workflow, WIP, recoverability and billing across the team.
- Review AI-generated workpapers, draft returns and correspondence,



ensuring outputs are critically assessed before escalation.
- Lead team adoption of AI and automation tools, contributing to the firm's AI review procedures and policy development.
- Supervise, mentor and support the technical development of Graduate, Intermediate and Senior Accountants.
- Identify tax risks and opportunities, escalating complex matters to Director/Partner level where required.
- Support business development through cross-selling opportunities and external referral relationships.

About You

- CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent), with a tertiary degree in Business, Commerce or Accounting.
- 8+ years' experience within public practice; commercial accounting exposure well regarded.
- Strong technical knowledge across financial accounts, income tax, BAS, PAYG and FBT.
- Advanced working knowledge of AI-assisted tools and digital practice management platforms, with the ability to lead adoption and critically review outputs.
- Proven ability to manage a team and meet client expectations, with a genuine thirst for technical knowledge.
- Strong communicator with sound business acumen and an understanding of the SME environment.
- Confident report writing and client presentation skills.
