About the Role

An exciting prospect exists with this joint appointment which provides an opportunity for a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in cardiac pacing and arrhythmia management to contribute across both a tertiary metropolitan service (SVHM) and a regional health service (GVH).

Key duties

- Provide clinical oversight of pacemaker and cardiac device clinics at both sites: SVHM: 3.5 hours per week GVH: Up to 7 hours per week
- Supervise cardiac technologists/scientists and nursing staff in device interrogation and programming of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED)
- Review device data and ensure appropriate clinical management plans
- Support complex device troubleshooting and clinical decision-making
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Contribute to quality assurance, safety, and accreditation processes within device services

Your Contribution

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology
- AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner with specialist recognition
- Demonstrated expertise in cardiac pacing and device management
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
