About the role
- Work 7am - 2.45pm across Monday-Friday
- Lead by example and manage your team of Barista & FOH Attendants.
- Facilitate the workplace training experience for STREAT’s young trainees, supported by our dedicated youth programs team who are always on hand to support you and your team.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met.
- Ensure the day-to-day operations of the cafe run smoothly; always striving for exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a pristine space, and take pride in the fine details.
- Foster an energetic and positive environemnt at all times.
Unique aspects of the role
- You will manage the relationship between Aus Post and STREAT, being the face of our organisation.
- Not open to the public, but a high paced enviroment with much more customer connection.
- Appearance and presentation is a key factor in this role.
- You will work with our Paid to Work participants, who have graduated from our Fast Track to Work program, to help further develop their skills and grow their employability.
- Access to brand recent facilites in Aus Post's head quaters, Richmond.

About you
- A genuine passion for hospitality.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
- An understanding of managing COGs and Labour targets.
- Outstanding all round knowledge of Melbourne’s food and coffee culture.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Barista in specialty coffee is essential.

About our team
We’re a team of over 100+ staff – mainly Baristas and Chefs – but also Youth Workers, Social Workers and a bunch of admin and support staff. Our team has four key traits: We dream big about changing the world, we’re creative in how we try and solve problems, we all roll up our sleeves and get stuff done - and we have fun doing it!
The role is available immediately and we'll be reviewing applications as they're submitted.
As part of STREAT's onboarding policy, you will require a current Victorian Working with Children Check prior to commencement. Any cost to you will be reimbursed by us.
