These roles help maintain parks, gardens, sporting facilities and public spaces that are safe, attractive and welcoming for the community. Field Worker A (Open Space) – Full time, salary commencing at $70,601
- Operate machinery and undertake detailed maintenance of garden and turf areas in parks and reserves.
- Use brush cutters, blowers and mowers, and apply chemicals safely
Field Worker A (Sports Maintenance) – Full time, salary commencing at $70,601
- Undertake general grounds maintenance within sports grounds
- Establish and maintain sports turf areas and gardens in sporting venues
- Assist with minor landscape construction works
Field Worker (Nursery) – Full time, salary commencing at $70,601
- Undertake general nursery operations, including maintenance, propagation, plant production and customer-focused activities
Field Worker (Streetscape) – Full time, salary commencing at $71,662
- Undertake planting and garden maintenance of streetscapes across the city
- Operate and maintain machinery
Field Worker (Arboriculture) – Full time, salary commencing at $73,860
- Undertake skilled arboricultural maintenance, including pruning, tree surgery and tree removal
- Operate specific arboricultural machinery including woodchippers, elevated platforms and chainsaws
Field Worker B (Tractor Operator) – Full time,
salary commencing at $73,860
- Operate a tractor and undertake general maintenance within parks and reserves
- Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained
Leading Hand (Arboriculture) – Full time, salary commencing at $76,889
- Lead the team to complete tree maintenance safely and on time
- Undertake pruning, tree surgery, tree removal and arboricultural maintenance activities including tree climbing
- Operate and maintain specific arboricultural machinery including woodchippers, elevated platforms and chainsaws
About You

- Demonstrated horticulture experience
- The ability to work as part of a team to complete assigned tasks on time
- A minimum of a C Class Drivers licence
- Construction Induction card
- FIT testing respirator test – workers must be clean‑shaven or have facial hair that doesn’t interfere with the fitting surfaces and valve of the respirator
Some positions may require Q Fever immunisation.
