The Opportunity
As a key member of the Corporate Finance Team, the Finance Manager plays a critical role in supporting the commercial finance function by working closely with key stakeholders within Technology, Marketing, HR, and AM/RECF teams. The key focus of the role is to build strong, trusted relationships across these functions, and along with the EGM Corporate, ensure that finance acts as a valued partner in respect of the management of departmental financial performance. The role supports the management of department spend, expense budgets and forecasting processes, monitors actual spend versus budget, provides insightful financial analysis, and delivers monthly reporting to stakeholders.
The role is ideally suited to finance professional who excels at building trust and strong relationships with stakeholders across the business. Experience in accounting for internally developed software and other capital projects is preferred, along with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into clear, actionable business insights. In addition,
the Finance Manager provides guidance and support to junior finance team members to ensure the smooth delivery of day-to-day finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing accurate and timely divisional expense reports to each cost centre
- Organising and participating in monthly meetings with cost centre owners.
- Partner with business teams to manage accruals, prepayments and rolling forecasts.
- Contribute to KPI analysis and presenting to the wider Finance team when required.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide clear financial commentary and recommendations.
- Assist the EGM Head of Corporate in liaising with the business on tracking the actual expense to budget and producing quality financial data when required.
- Provide training and encourage development of the team to ensure staff engagement.
- Contribute to Finance initiatives in uplifting and streamlining processes.
About You
The successful applicant will be CA or CPA qualified with over 5 years post qualification experience. Additional skills and experience required include:
- Minimum of 3 years in business partnering
- Relevant professional memberships and certifications
- Demonstrated ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders, particularly across IT, Marketing, HR or similar commercial teams.
- Strong analytical skills, financial modelling / excel capability,
and ability to interpret financial data
- Excellent communication skills able to simplify financial information for non-finance audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Technology One software will be highly advantageous.
