Design Coordinator | Interested in Architects or Engineers transitioning to client-side.

Our client is a privately owned property development and construction group with more than 20 years of experience delivering large-scale residential and mixed-use projects across New South Wales.

Over the past two decades, the business has established itself as one of the state's leading multidisciplinary developers, delivering thousands of apartments and building a strong reputation for high-quality design and project delivery.

The organisation has a substantial development pipeline of approximately 7,500 apartments across projects in planning, development and construction, reflecting the scale and long‑term strength of the business.

Specialising in large-scale residential communities and mixed‑use developments, the company has a strong presence across Sydney's key growth corridors. Operating under a vertically integrated model, the business manages acquisitions, design, planning, construction and sales in house, providing greater control over quality, programme and delivery, while offering project teams genuine end‑to‑end involvement across the entire development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

- Assisting with the delivery of projects throughout the entire development lifecycle, including planning, concept design, approvals, construction, occupation certificate requirements, and project handover.
- Undertaking site acquisition due diligence and assisting with feasibility assessments and financial modelling.
- Coordinating external consultants including architects, engineers, planners, and other project stakeholders.
- Assisting with Development Applications, Construction Certificates, Council approvals, PCA approvals, and authority requirements.




- Reviewing design documentation and ensuring coordination between consultants and construction teams.
- Identifying design risks, inconsistencies, and coordination issues, and facilitating practical solutions.
- Supporting value engineering initiatives and design optimisation opportunities.
- Assisting with procurement activities, quantity take‑offs, and project cost reviews.
- Working closely with the construction team to resolve buildability challenges and RFIs.
- Reviewing shop drawings and construction documentation.
- Supporting project marketing initiatives and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout delivery.
- Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring effective management of project information.
- Contributing to the implementation of best‑practice design processes and standards across multiple projects.

About You

- A degree in Property, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience within property development, architecture, engineering, design management, project management, or construction.
- Solid understanding of the development and design process across residential projects.
- Experience interpreting architectural and consultant documentation.
- Exposure to planning approvals, DA and CC processes, and construction delivery.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- A genuine passion for high‑end residential development and design.
