Job Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Signalling HW Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced setting. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic and will be based in Brisbane, Australia.

Key Responsibilities

- Guarantee the delivery of signalling hardware design for projects, including documentation, on schedule and within budget.
- Set up hardware, including operating system installation, automated installation development, and software integration, and troubleshoot problems with lab and production hardware.
- Execute detailed hardware design, including documents and drawings, and contribute to development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
- Control design documents in accordance with company processes.
- Lead reviews to detect design errors and ensure correction.
- Deliver sub‑systems or software configurations for medium and small signalling project schemes, including production and verification of configuration documents.
- Guarantee requirements, design, and testing according to project specifications.
- Ensure input data, configuration documents,



and executable files are issued and controlled per company processes.
- Define and execute integration laboratory tests before handing over executable files of configured sub‑systems.

Skills & Experience

- Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology degree.
- More than five years of professional experience in signalling hardware design.
- Demonstrated value creation and market/customer orientation.
- Excellence in achieving assigned objectives.
- Innovation and change management skills.
