❌ This isn't a veterinary nursing position.
❌ You won't be assisting in surgery.

But...

✅ You'll cuddle plenty of puppies & kittens.
✅ You'll know every patient's name before the vet does.
✅ You'll celebrate new patients, comfort worried owners, hand out treats like they're going out of fashion, and somehow become the person everyone asks for when they walk through the door.

Veterinary receptionists are one of the most underrated roles in our industry.

Our reception team are the heart of the clinic. They're the first smile clients see, the calm voice during stressful moments, the organised brain behind the scenes, and the reason our days run as smoothly as they do.

It's a role that takes compassion, resilience, quick thinking and a good sense of humour.

What does a normal day look like?

Honestly...

There isn't one.

One minute you're booking puppy vaccinations.

The next you're helping reunite a lost dog with its owner.

Then you're celebrating a patient going home after surgery, answering the phones, finding an emergency appointment spot, guiding a client on treatment options, and somehow remembering that Mrs Smith's Labrador prefers liver treats over chicken.

You'll laugh.

You'll learn something new every day.

You'll look up, realise it's somehow already lunchtime, and wonder where the morning went!

And you'll go home knowing you've genuinely helped people and their pets.

We'd love to meet someone who...

- Loves animals (obviously!)

- Enjoys chatting with people and making them feel welcome.

- Can juggle phones,



appointments and conversations without breaking a sweat.

- Has empathy and understands that for many people, pets are family.

- Loves being part of a supportive team.

- Learns quickly and enjoys a challenge.

- Brings positive energy to work — even on the busiest days.

“I've never worked in a vet clinic...”

Perfectly okay.

We can teach you everything you need to know.

We can't teach kindness, compassion, enthusiasm and a great attitude.

Full training is provided, so we're much more interested in finding the right person than someone who already knows all the medical terminology.

This position is available full-time or part-time, depending on the right person's availability.
