We need casual Pool Lifeguards for the 2026/2027 Summer season* to keep everyone safe and smiling at the Launceston Leisure & Aquatic Centre. Whether you're already qualified or completing your Pool Lifeguard and Workplace Level 2 First Aid training by 31 August 2026, you'll gain hands-on supervision and customer service experience with a supportive crew, all while earning through the warmer months.
That's local life with time to enjoy it.
- The summer season covers the period October 2026 to April 2027
Do I need to be a qualified Lifeguard?
Yes. You'll need a current Pool Lifeguard qualification, or to be enrolled in lifeguard training that will be completed by 31 August 2026.
What will my responsibilities be in the role?
- Supervising patrons in and around the swimming pools
- Facilitating a safe, clean and enjoyable aquatic environment
- Administering first aid and rescue response as required
What do I need?
- Great customer service
- Be fully available to attend work from September until February, including weekends, public holidays( i.e. Christmas Holiday period), early mornings and late night shifts
- Workplace Level 2 First Aid, or enrolled in a course completing by 31 August 2026
- Working with Vulnerable Person's Licence
- Current Pool Lifeguard qualification, or enrolled in a course completing by 31 August 2026
