Located 5 minutes from the heart of Launceston and built in the 1850’s,The Newstead Hotel has become an iconic venue in the city. With abustling Bistro,the hotel is equipped with 2 bars and over 30 Electronic gaming machines, keno, and function rooms. The Newstead is where locals come for good pizza, cold drinks, and fun times.

What you can expect in a day in the role:

In this role, you willbe responsible forattending to inquiries from our guests, preparing and dispensing beverages, running food, and taking orders, all with exceptional customer service.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Assistingpatrons with both food and beverage orders, inquiries, and complaints
- Upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Taking orders and running food to tables
- Assistwith large groups or bookings
- Assistingwiththe opening and closing of the bistro

What you will bring to the role:

Our ideal candidate will thrive in a busy setting, have a passion for the industry, and provide excellent customer service.

We are also looking for:

- Demonstrated cash handlingproficiency




- An understanding of food & beverage products and services
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
- Ability to work a variety of night, weekend, and public holiday shifts
- Have a “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn
