Plant Operator (Avoca)

Band 3 (Salary $70,642 - $75,265 incl. RDO) + Super

The Pyrenees Shire Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Plant Operator to join the Works team based in Avoca. This full-time role is primarily responsible for the proficient, safe and effective operation of a range of plant associated with road maintenance and construction activities. The right candidate will require a range of skills including experience in trucks, loaders. backhoes, tractors, brush cutters and chainsaws. Activities undertaken will include, but not be limited to sealed and unsealed roadwork, bitumen and emulsion activities, traffic management

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a sound understanding of workplace safety requirements who has practical experience in municipal maintenance and hold a Heavy Combination licence.
