Silverstone is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter (fixed plant) to cater to our clients' requirements in the thriving WA mining and resources sector. This opportunity will commence on contract, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wet plant processing equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance across gold processing circuits including CIL/CIP, mills, crushers, pumps, screens, thickeners, agitators, conveyors and slurry systems
- Support the planning and execution of wet plant shutdown activities
- Prepare and complete required safety documentation, including JSAs and SWPs, prior to commencing work
- Work collaboratively with Production teams to optimise plant availability and throughput
- Proactively identify equipment reliability issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You:
- Trade qualified with a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitting/Machining), Australian recognised
- Previous experience in gold processing or other complex processing environments such as copper/nickel/lithium plants
- Hold a current, unrestricted WA C Class driver’s licence
- Senior First Aid certified
- Familiar with maintenance management systems such as SAP or Pronto
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Solid diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving capability
- Able to work autonomously while effectively managing and prioritising tasks
