The Opportunity

Gold Fields are looking for an experienced underground professional who understands pastefill operations and is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.

You’ll play a key role in supervising safe, effective pastefill activities, mentoring your crew and ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Skills & Qualifications:

Pastefill experience will be highly regarded; however, experienced underground supervisors, pastefill and backfill personnel, or engineers with solid underground operational understanding, planning skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to applyStrong understanding of underground infrastructure, processes and procedures,



and ability to plan and forecastDemonstrated leadership capability and able to motivate and guide underground paste crewsWA Schedule 26 (S26) Statutory Supervisor Certificate, or ability to obtain before commencementValid manual C Class Driver’s LicenceWA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights

About the Role:

Leading and supervising underground paste crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to scheduleCoordinating pastefill schedules with underground mining and capturing schedules in weekly and monthly planningPlanning pastefill operations, managing paste-associated contractors, and QAQC of paste samplesMonitoring pastefill operations, identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and reliabilityPromoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with site safety systems and proceduresCoaching, training and mentoring crews to build capability and a high-performance culture
