The Role
As a Tactical Trainer, you'll play a vital role in preparing students for successful careers in security, first aid, and workplace emergency management. You'll help learners build the practical skills, awareness, and confidence required to keep people safe and respond effectively in real-world situations when they are needed most.
The successful candidate will be passionate about sharing their knowledge, providing guidance and encouragement, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to achieve their best.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate training sessions both on-site and at client locations
- Assess student skills and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate student records and training documentation
- Ensure training equipment and resources are maintained and are in good working order
- Maintain current industry skills and knowledge through participation in career development as per the Standards and RTO policies
- Collaborate with the team to improve training programs
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment: Must hold one of the training and assessment credentials outlined in Section 1A of the Credential Policy (under the Outcome Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations 2025) (CPP40122 / TAE40116 / CPP40110 / or a diploma or in adult education or vocational education and training)
- Must hold relevant industries competencies that are relevant to, and at least to the level of, the training product being delivered and assessed.
This may include one or more of the following:
- CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations
- CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations
- CPP31418 Certificate III in Close Protection Operations
- Proven experience, skills, and knowledge relevant to the training product being trained and assessed
- Experience delivering training to groups
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must hold security licence relevant to the training product being trained and assessed:
- Security Agent Licence (Crowd Control, General Guarding, Body Guarding) (Essential)
