Step In Recruitment is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join a leading FMCG warehouse operation based in Smithfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership of inventory processes, and can confidently work with warehouse teams to maintain stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
About the Role
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock integrity.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Producing inventory reports and communicating findings.
- Working closely with warehouse staff to improve inventory accuracy and processes.
- Identifying issues and providing practical solutions.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the warehouse.
What We're Looking For
- Previous Inventory Controller experience within an FMCG or food warehouse environment.
- Experience working in a rapid-paced warehouse or distribution centre.
- Strong Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience (essential – non-negotiable).
- Strong reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A confident presence with the ability to communicate effectively with warehouse staff, address issues, and implement practical solutions.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your role.
- Flexible, proactive and adaptable approach.
- High attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
What's on Offer
- $37.50 per hour (Casual Rate).
- Full-time hours – Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
