LRH is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Surgical Unaccredited Registrar on a fixed term fulltime basis (86 hours per fortnight).

The role of the Surgical Registrar is to provide day‑to‑day medical care for patients under the direction of senior medical staff and also work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and high‑quality patient care. The successful applicant will support LRH’s values – Person‑Centred, Respect, Integrity, Excellence and Working Together.

About the Department

The Surgical Department is focused on providing quality care to the patients and wider community. You will experience a broad range of clinical practices, caseloads and educational opportunities, as well as one‑on‑one time with supervising Consultants.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

- Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Registration or be eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Completed and passed AMC Part 1 as a minimum (Part 2 is desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member
