The Grampians Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) program is a collaborative service between Wellways and Grampians Health Services. It provides a step‑down and step‑up sub‑acute mental health service for people in the catchment areas of Grampians Health, supporting individuals who are becoming unwell or in the early stages of recovery from an acute illness.
About the prospect
As a Casual Recovery Worker you will provide support for individual clients, focusing on achieving meaningful health, social and economic outcomes for people experiencing mental health issues. You will assist young people along their own pathway to recovery.
Key Deliverables
- Engage participants, their families, and friends in the program and develop professional and trusting working relationships.
- Conduct regular face‑to‑face support visits to connect with participants and monitor and offer support around key areas.
- Encourage linkages into activities to support achievement of goals, including all Wellways services.
- Develop individually tailored recovery plans with each participant that incorporate specific goals focusing on skill and knowledge development, including physical health and wellbeing and housing outcomes.
- Provide direct practical support to participants to attain the skills required to meet the identified goals, including group activities.
- Regularly review how services are provided to ensure the program is aligned with individual needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Mental Health, AOD, or a related community services field, or equivalent combination of relevant qualifications and experience.
- Current valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel for the role.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- Right to Work within Australia.
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.

- Salary packaging up to $15,899, including a per‑hour rate of $50.61 for casual time.
