Operations and Transport Officer

We are seeking a motivated and organised Operations & Transport Officer to join our team in Western Australia. Reporting to the Operations Manager – WA, you will support depot operations, transport coordination, compliance activities, stock management, and operational projects across the state.
The position will focus on depot compliance, stock takes, cylinder stock coordination, consumable stock ordering, analytical support, invoice processing, dealing with various contractors and coordinating jobs/projects as required from time to time.

Compliance, safety, tracking attendance in safety meetings, regulatory compliance, assisting agents & distributors with compliance needs, and actioning of CARs on a day‑to‑day basis also form part of overall responsibilities.

Responsibilities

- Manage cylinder stock movements and inventory across depots, agents, and distributors in Western Australia
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing stock, including container arrivals, labour requirements, and storage solutions
- Conduct monthly stocktakes of cylinders and consumables to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
- Forecast, order and monitor consumable stock levels to support ongoing production requirements
- Track out‑of‑test cylinders at customer sites and coordinate timely replacements to maintain compliance
- Support depot compliance activities, corrective action management (CARs), and implementation of safety initiatives across metropolitan and regional locations




- Assist with depot upgrade projects, contractor coordination, invoice processing and general operational support
- Generate operational reports and data insights using Business Intelligence (BI) tools while supporting key business initiatives such as annual peak stock build programs

Qualifications

- Previous experience in operations, transport, logistics, supply chain or inventory management
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with reporting systems or Business Intelligence tools (desirable)
- Commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
- Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to regional locations as required
- Knowledge and exposure to Linde and its products
