Neurology Consultant- Neurology Extended Leave Cover

About the Role

This is a Fixed Term Part Time position to cover a mixture of Long Service Leave and Sabbatical leave over a 6 month period from August 2026 (immediate start) to end of January 2027, at 0.4EFT (up to28hrsper fortnight) within the Neurology Department.

Hours/ EFT is negotiable where candidate will need to conduct clinics for General Neurology or Epilepsy Clinics in addition to pro-rata ward service roster.

Classification for this position will be in accordance with AMA Victoria – Victoria Public Health Sector Medical Specialists Agreement 2022–2026.

What you’ll achieve:





- Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to children with a broad rangeofpaediatricneurological disorders
- Provide childcentred,family focusedcare through partnership with parents/ families.
- Actively contribute as an individual and as a member of a team, to the continuous improvement of health care quality and patient safety

Your skills and experience

- Current Specialist AHPRA registration.
- Completed basic and advanced training for the FRACP inpaediatricsand completed accredited training in child neurology.
- Experience in diagnosis and treatment ofpaediatricneurological disorders.
- Member or eligible to be a member of the ANZCNS (Australia and New Zealand Child Neurology Society).

The RCH Department of Neurology is one of the busiest child neurology services in Australia.In addition to general neurology, the department provides subspecialty services in epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, stroke, neurogenetics, neurofibromatosis, neuro-oncology,demyelinationand movement disorders.
