About the Role

Reporting directly to the Construction manager, you’ll take ownership of the estimating process from opportunity identification through to successful project handover.

Working closely with our project delivery team, you’ll prepare competitive, accurate tenders while developing robust relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading the preparation of civil construction tenders and estimates from start to finish.

- Reviewing drawings,



specifications and contract documentation.

- Performing quantity take-offs using industry estimating software.

- Attending site inspections and tender briefings.

- Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.

- Preparing methodologies, construction programs and tender submissions.

- Identifying project risks and opportunities.

- Reviewing contracts and scope documentation.

- Liaising directly with clients throughout the tender process.

- Preparing project budgets and handover documentation for awarded projects.

- Supporting project teams with variation pricing and commercial advice.

- Contributing to business development and identifying future tender opportunities.

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys winning work and takes pride in producing quality submissions.

You’ll bring:

- 3+ years’ experience estimating civil construction projects.

- Proven success delivering profitable and competitive tenders.

- Strong knowledge of bulk earthworks, roadworks, concrete, drainage and civil infrastructure.

- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

- High attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
