About The Role

As Leading Hand (Trade Asset Services), you will be a key member of the Works and Field Services team, responsible for delivering skilled maintenance and minor construction works across a range of community assets.

In this hands‑on role you will lead by example to ensure parks, reserves, playgrounds, and associated infrastructure are maintained to high safety and quality standards. The team work a 4-day week (Mon to Thursday) – 6am to 4pm.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct inspections and reporting and maintenance of parks, reserves, and playgrounds.
- Complete skilled maintenance of fencing, pathways, shelters, retaining walls, shade sails and outside furniture
- Safely operate a range of plant and equipment, including a Kanga, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), and job truck.
- Foster a safe working workplace for staff and the community.
- Assist in coordinating daily work activities and contribute to the delivery of high-quality maintenance outcomes.

This role is ideal for a motivated trade professional with experience in construction, landscaping, or playground maintenance who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining community spaces.

About You

- Current C Class Driver License
- Current MR Drivers Licence would be an advantage.
- Relevant trade certificate would be an advantage.
- Construction Card
- Ability to be agile, resilient, passionate, community focused, to adjust at short notice.

This is a permanent full-time role with a salary commencing at $75,146 (with the ability to progress in salary level upon completion of required competencies) plus 12.5% superannuation.
