Montgomery Advisory is partnering with a leading Australian law firm to recruit a Lawyer (2+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Restructuring & Insolvency team in Sydney.
This is an exciting prospect to work on a broad range of corporate restructuring, turnaround and insolvency matters, advising lenders, insolvency practitioners, distressed debt funds, corporates and company directors.
The role offers exposure to complex, high-value matters across industries including financial services, construction, mining, retail and media.
The Role
You will work across a diverse range of restructuring and insolvency matters, including:
- Corporate restructuring and turnaround engagements
- Formal and informal insolvency matters
- Advising lenders, insolvency practitioners and distressed debt funds
- Acting for corporates and company directors in distressed situations
- Building strong client relationships while working closely with an experienced and collaborative team
About You
You will have:
- 2+ years' post-admission experience
- Experience in restructuring and insolvency (or a mixed practice with relevant exposure)
- Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills
- A commercial mindset and genuine interest in restructuring and corporate recovery
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for building your career within a growing practice
