Job Summary

The EDP (Energy Data Platform) Specialist is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance of enterprise or energy data platforms used within utility organizations. The role focuses on validating large-scale data ingestion, transformation, analytics, reporting, and integrations between source systems such as AMI, SAP IS‑U, MDM, and downstream reporting or regulatory platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business and technical requirements for Energy / Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) solutions.
- Design and execute strategies for data ingestion, validation, transformation, and consumption layers.
- Perform data quality, data reconciliation, and data integrity testing.
- Validate batch and real-time data pipelines from source systems such as SAP IS‑U, CRM, and external systems.
- Execute testing for data platforms.
- Validate KPIs, dashboards, reports,



and regulatory data outputs.
- Identify data discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

Testing Tools & Technologies

- SQL and data validation techniques.
- Big data / cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP – as applicable).
- ETL and data pipeline tools (ADF, Informatica, Databricks).
- BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics).

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in EDP, data warehouse, or data lake testing.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation.
- Understanding of data models, metadata, and data governance concepts.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
