Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning and Cost Management: Develop and refine menus while managing food and labour costs. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients and efficient provisioning.
- Quality Control: Oversee every stage of dish preparation, from initial concept to final presentation, ensuring each plate meets our high standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with management and staff, including kitchen and waitstaff, to discuss and resolve any food preparation or service issues.
- Skill Enhancement: Lead by example, demonstrating culinary techniques and offering guidance on cooking procedures to kitchen staff.
- Food Preparation: Hands-on preparation and cooking of food, ensuring each dish is executed with precision.
- Hygiene and Safety: Uphold and advocate strict hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
- Staff Development:
Participate in the selection and training of new kitchen staff, fostering a learning environment that encourages growth and excellence.
- Innovation: Continuously innovate in food preservation and presentation techniques to enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen.
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum
