GetCareers is currently recruiting for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to undertake a Cabinet Making Apprenticeship with an established and reputable local business in Malaga.
This is a fantastic opportunity to start a hands-on, rewarding career in the construction industry and gain a nationally recognised trade qualification – Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology – all while being paid to learn on the job.

Location: Malaga
Employment Type: Full-time (5 days per week, 38 hours standard)
Term of Apprenticeship: 3.5 years
About the Role
As a Cabinet Making Apprentice, duties may include:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to prepare for projects.
- Measure, mark, and cut timber and panels using hand and power tools.
- Assemble cabinets, drawers, and shelving units to ensure quality and durability.
- Install hardware such as hinges, locks, and drawer systems, and fit cabinetry on-site.
- Sand, finish, and polish surfaces to achieve a professional look.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all health and safety guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Physically capable of performing hands-on work
- Demonstrate robust attention to detail and a solid work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated to develop new skills through an apprenticeship
- Able to work effectively in a team and follow instructions
- Committed to completing the full term of the apprenticeship while working full-time
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must reside within the Perth Metropolitan Area due to the location of the apprenticeship
- Must hold a current and valid Driver's Licence and have access to a reliable vehicle
- Must hold a current Construction White Card
- Previous experience in cabinet making or a related trade is desirable, but not essential
- Candidates who have completed a relevant Pre-Apprenticeship will be highly regarded
