Kelso Medical Group is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Kardinya, WA 6163, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our medical practice. As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for leading the administrative and operational functions of the practice, working closely with clinical staff and senior leadership to deliver exceptional patient care and maintain a thriving healthcare facility. This position is essential to the success of our organisation and directly impacts our ability to provide quality medical services to our patients.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing daily practice operations, including scheduling, patient management systems and administrative procedures
- Managing practice finances, including billing, accounts payable and receivable, experience in MYOB is desireable
- Recruiting, training and supervising administrative and support staff to ensure high standards of performance
- Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, privacy legislation and quality standards
- Liaising with clinical staff to support efficient patient care delivery and workflow optimisation
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and implementing appropriate health and safety protocols
- Managing practice resources, including equipment maintenance, supplies and facilities management
- Implementing and maintaining practice policies and procedures
- Handling patient enquiries and resolving complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Analysing practice performance data and identifying opportunities for improvement
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in medical practice management or healthcare administration
- Strong knowledge of practice management software and healthcare information systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing teams
- Sound understanding of healthcare compliance, privacy legislation and medical practice regulations in Australia
- Strong financial acumen with experience in practice financial management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clinical and administrative staff
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges
- Professional qualifications in practice management or healthcare administration (preferred)
- Experience with patient management systems and electronic health records (preferred)
