I am a young man living with my foster family in Port Kennedy. I’m sociable, curious and full of personality. I love animals, exploring the world around me, and getting out for activities like bowling and mini-golf.
I’m looking for caring, reliable Support Workers to help me start and finish my school days well. This includes support to get ready for school each weekday morning, time to wind down after school in the afternoon, and additional support to enjoy my local community on Saturdays.
I’m hoping to find new team members who will take the time to get to know me, support me with confidence and kindness, and help me live an active, fulfilling life. Could this be you?
I would love to hear from someone who is:
- Reliable, dependable and genuinely committed to learning about me and my support needs
- Warm, positive and able to bring a sense of humour into everyday support
- Curious, calm, resilient and able to adapt when plans or routines change
- Passionate about person-centred support and helping people live meaningful, connected lives
Experience or knowledge in the following areas would be highly valued, although training and support may be available for the right person:
- Communication tools such as iGaze or PODD Communication
- Enteral feeding and support for dysphagia
- Manual Handling and use of a Hoist

About me:
I have complex care needs and value support workers who are patient, attentive and willing to learn my communication style.
I communicate using an iGaze tool and receive all nutrition and hydration through an enteral feeding system. I also use a hoist to transfer to and from my wheelchair. I have a wicked sense of humour and enjoy exploring new environments, meeting new people and taking part in activities that are thoughtful and well considered.
I enjoy:
- Exploring my local community
- Animals
- Bowling & Mini-Golf
- Arts & crafts
- Spending time with my foster family
Role requirements:
- Current driver’s licence and confidence driving my small van
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Current Apply First Aid completed within the last 3 years, or willingness to obtain it
