Our Ceduna office is seeking an experienced Social Worker or Professional Officer (Case Manager) to join the team in a Supervisory role. In this position, you will provide leadership and support to a dedicated team, strengthening practice through culturally safe, responsive and inclusive service delivery that is informed by community voice and connection to Country.

This is a single vacancy offered under a dual classification, meaning it may be filled by either an experienced, qualified Social Worker (AHP3) or Professional Officer (PO3) depending on the qualification and suitability of the successful applicant.

Salary

AHP3: $112,139 - $120,284 p.a. + 12% super

+4% child protection allowance

+regional financial incentive

+Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.

PO3: $108,087 - $115,936 p.a. + 12% super

+additional child protection allowance

Essential Qualifications:

- AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions require applicants to hold a Social Work qualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

- PO (Professional Officer) positions require relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or other related fields.

Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent,



who have the appropriate background or skills but do not have the essential qualifications, are highly encouraged to apply.

In this role, you will:

- Drive high-quality social work and case management practice, grounded in culturally responsive and evidence-informed approaches

- Lead the development of inclusive, accessible services that reflect cultural context and community needs

- Support a healthy team culture through proactive leadership, coaching and culturally safe practice guidance

- Contribute to strategic planning, service improvement and operational priorities that strengthen culturally responsive outcomes across the agency

- Build partnerships with other agencies and community groups to improve coordinated, culturally informed responses.

The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.

Special Conditions:

- You must have a current Working With Children Check

- You must have a current Australian driver's licence (P2 or above) and a willingness to drive.

Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
