About the role

Parramatta Parents & Citizens Association is seeking a Casual Tuckshop Assistant to join our team in Parramatta Park, QLD 4870. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work within a dynamic hospitality environment focused on providing quality food and beverage services to our school community. As a Tuckshop Assistant, you will play an essential role in ensuring our tuckshop operates efficiently and delivers excellent customer service to students and staff.

Key responsibilities

1. Preparing and assembling food items in accordance with health and safety standards

2. Operating the cash register and processing customer transactions accurately

3. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the tuckshop and food preparation areas

4. Stocking shelves and managing inventory levels

5. Taking customer orders and providing friendly, efficient service

6. Following food safety protocols and handling procedures

7. Assisting with food deliveries and stock management

8. Supporting the tuckshop team during peak service times

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience working in a food service, hospitality, or retail setting is preferred

2. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor

3. Ability to work accurately and efficiently

4.



Strong attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene and safety standards

5. Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions

6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

7. Flexibility to work casual hours as required

8. A current Working with Children check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential for this role within a school environment
