About the Role:

The Sacramental Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the faith formation of children and families within the Salisbury Catholic Parish community. Reporting to the Parish Priest, you will work collaboratively with him and the Sacramental Management Team to coordinate and administer the Parish's Sacramental Program.

The Sacramental Management Team includes the Parish Priest of Salisbury Catholic Parish, together with the Principals and APRIMs of Holy Family Catholic School, St Augustine’s Parish School, and Thomas More College. Working in partnership, the team is committed to delivering a meaningful and engaging sacramental journey for children and their families.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 24 hours per week.

In this rewarding role, you will:

- Coordinate and oversee the Parish Sacramental Program, including Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion

- Work collaboratively with the Parish Priest, APRIMs,



school leaders and the Sacramental Management Team to plan and deliver sacramental formation sessions, liturgies and celebrations.

- Coordinate the Christ the King Sacramental Program for teenagers in partnership with Thomas More College.

- Build positive relationships with families by providing guidance, communicating program information and supporting them throughout their sacramental journey.

- Organise and facilitate parent information sessions, sacramental events and celebrations, including preparing the church and coordinating resources.

- Maintain accurate sacramental records and databases, prepare certificates and reports.

- Liaise with priests, schools and the Archdiocesan Office to coordinate sacramental dates, bookings and program requirements.

- Manage program administration, including enrolments, correspondence, payments, resource preparation and follow-up of key actions.

- Contribute to the life and mission of Salisbury Catholic Parish by fostering a welcoming, faith-filled environment and undertaking additional duties that support the Parish's sacramental ministry.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has an active Catholic faith life, demonstrated through prayer, religious practice and a commitment to living out Gospel values.

- Is passionate about supporting faith formation and engaging with children, families and the wider parish community.

- Has the ability to create meaningful opportunities, resources and forums that encourage spiritual growth and participation in the Sacramental Program.

- Builds positive and collaborative relationships with Parish Priests, parish staff, schools,



families and community stakeholders.

- Works well as part of a team and can collaborate effectively with a range of people across the parish and school communities.

- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and support families in their sacramental journey.

- Has strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

- Is confident using Microsoft 365 and digital systems to support administration, communication and record keeping.

- Has previous experience working with youth and/or must be able demonstrate a thorough understanding of appropriate behaviours and protective safeguarding practices when interacting with children and young people.

- Has an understanding of their obligations as a mandated notifier and agrees to complete mandatory safeguarding training as set by the Safeguarding Operations Team within the Integrity & Safeguarding Department of the Archdiocese.

- Has knowledge about, or experience in, the Sacramental Program (desirable).
