About the role

Greenstaff Medical is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our casual nursing team in Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly whilst delivering high-quality patient care across general medical and surgical settings. As a casual Registered Nurse, you will have the autonomy to choose shifts that suit your lifestyle whilst making a meaningful difference to patients' lives. Based in Melbourne VIC 3000, this role offers the flexibility of casual work with the satisfaction of skilled healthcare delivery.

What you'll be doing

- Providing direct patient care across general medical and surgical wards, including assessment, monitoring and treatment of patients

- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff, ensuring accuracy and patient safety

- Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare standards and regulations

- Communicating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care

- Performing vital signs monitoring, wound care, catheter care and other clinical procedures as required

- Supporting patients with activities of daily living and providing compassionate emotional support

- Identifying and reporting changes in patient conditions promptly to medical staff

- Adhering to infection control protocols, health and safety regulations and professional nursing standards

- Responding to patient call bells and requests in a timely and professional manner

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse

- Proven experience in general medical and/or surgical nursing environments

- Strong clinical knowledge and competency in core nursing skills including patient assessment, medication administration and clinical observation

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with patients,



families and healthcare professionals

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in rapid-paced healthcare settings

- Current First Aid and CPR certification

- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing professional development

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively

- Compassion, patience and a genuine commitment to patient-centred care
