Greenstaff Medical is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis. Key responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will undertake a range of clinical duties including:
- Delivering compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients in general medical and surgical wards
- Assessing patient conditions, monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to medical staff
- Administering medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols and best practice guidelines
- Performing wound care, dressing changes and other clinical procedures as required
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and documentation
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Providing emotional support and health education to patients and their families
- Adhering to all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe healthcare environment
- Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting colleagues in providing optimal patient care
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
- Proven experience in general medical and surgical nursing environments
- Strong clinical knowledge and competence in patient assessment, care planning and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing professional development
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts and adapt to changing workplace demands
- Current immunisations and a valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Desirable: experience with electronic medical records systems and acute care settings
