The Opportunity The role of Principal Planning EngineerNorth Parkes(NPO) within thelong-termplanning team willsee you responsible foridentifyingvalue accretiveopportunitiesassociated with thestrategic plans for the asset. You will supportthe development of ongoing and new projects,provideguidanceand recommendationson global best practice,as well asidentifyingopportunities forinnovationand improvement with bulk miningplanning(Block Cave, Sub-Level Cave and Open Pit).

Operating as part of the Brisbane based long-term planning team you will,

Identifysite strategic scenarios,and deliver optimised mine designsand schedules to enableselectionof a preferred pathway for the Evolution Mining“life ofmine”plan

Engage with corporate and site stakeholders to collate and integrate inputs into the possible scenarios

Contribute to the identification of risks and opportunities, including action development

Participatein and contribute to ourLOMseason workshopsat the technical hub

Assistthestudy team in delivery of themineextensionstudies





Develop theorereserve statements for NPOasthe primarycompetentperson

Collaborate with site teams to align tacticalobjectiveswith strategic plans

Does this sound like you?

Have evolved underground mining experience and a degree in mining, civil, or geotechnical engineering

In depth exposure to Block Caving and Sub-level caving methodologies

Are proficient in mine planning software such asDeswikCAD and Scheduler, with exposure to optimisation tools likeDeswikSO, Datamine SO, Apex orMinemax

Ability to develop and interpret draw strategie

Competent Person under the JORC Code for Ore Reserves

Enjoy working across diverse teams to develop long-term mine designs and schedules that align with business goal
