We are seeking experienced Town Planners to join EHUP Consultancy.

About the role

- Fully remote and flexible work arrangements.
- Project-based consulting on residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across NSW.

Who should apply

Key Responsibilities

- Provide preliminary town planning advice to clients regarding development potential, planning constraints and appropriate approval pathways, including Development Applications (DA) and Complying Development Certificates (CDC).
- Review architectural plans, building design documentation and consultant reports to ensure compliance with relevant planning controls and statutory requirements.
- Undertake site analysis, planning due diligence and research to identify development opportunities, constraints and approval pathways.
- Prepare a range of planning documentation including Statements of Environmental Effects (SEE), Strategic Planning Reports, Clause 4.6 Variation Requests, Planning Assessments and supporting town planning reports.
- Identify planning risks, compliance obligations and approval considerations throughout the development assessment process.
- Liaise with councils, private certifiers,



architects, surveyors, engineers and other stakeholders as required.
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation and submission of Development Applications and related planning approvals.
- Respond to Council Requests for Information (RFIs), planning enquiries and assessment matters.
- Support the delivery of high-quality planning outcomes while maintaining project deadlines and client expectations.

Skills and ExperienceEssential

- Demonstrated experience in NSW town planning
- Experience preparing Development Applications.
- Experience preparing planning reports
- Strong knowledge of NSW planning legislation and assessment processes.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- High attention to detail.

Desirable

- Experience across multiple NSW councils.
- PIA membership.

Qualifications

- Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Planning or a related discipline.
- Full Australian working rights.
