Your New Role

The Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance – Digital & AI is a newly created specialist role focused on digital acquisition, data, privacy and AI governance. Partnering closely with senior leaders across Brand, Marketing & Digital, Technology, Legal, Privacy and Risk, you will be the trusted adviser helping the business innovate safely, sustainably and compliantly. You'll influence how digital campaigns are designed, how AI is adopted, and how member data is governed, ensuring strong risk management while enabling growth.

Key responsibilities include:

- Act as the trusted risk and compliance adviser for Brand, Marketing and Digital (BMD) applying your risk lens to the brand and digital strategy while it's being shaped and as it moves through implementation and deliver.
- Uplift digital and AI risk capability across Member Growth through practical tools, guidance and training.
- Proactively engage on opportunities to uplift AI utilisation to manage line 1 risk outcomes more effectively, assess AI use cases for fairness, transparency, human oversight and member impact, recommending controls or conditions of use before deployment.
- Support the division’s AI governance approach, aligned to our AI policy and recognised frameworks.

How do you exceed our expectations?

- You will have strong knowledge of digital, data, privacy and AI risk and the regulatory landscape affecting financial services including the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles, APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230, ASIC advertising and disclosure expectations,



and emerging AI standards (ISO/IEC 42001 and Australia’s AI Ethics Principles).
- Practical experience assessing risk in direct-to consumer digital acquisition, marketing or member/customer experience, ideally in financial services or superannuation.
- Demonstrated understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, model risk, algorithmic bias, fairness, explainability and human oversight of automated decisions.
- Robust understanding of risk appetite, risk identification and mitigation, and building effective process controls in a highly regulated environment.
