Flexi Community Work Pty Ltd (ABN 79 700 452 400) is a labour hire specialist supplying support workers to NDIS providers. We are recruiting entry-level Disability Support Workers to start their career in the disability sector, with positions available across Newcastle, the Hunter Region, Cameron Park, Gosford and the Central Coast, and Batemans Bay and Bega on the Far South Coast.

This is a genuine entry point into the NDIS workforce. You will begin with a structured induction period working alongside experienced support workers in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes, Specialist Disability Accommodation and community settings, with progression to higher SCHADS classification levels and pay rates as your skills and duties develop.

What you will be doing

- Providing supervised day-to-day support alongside experienced team members during your induction
- Assisting participants with daily living activities, meals and household routines
- Supporting community access, transport and social participation
- Helping maintain a safe, clean and welcoming home workplace
- Learning to write clear progress notes and follow reporting procedures
- Treating every participant with dignity and respect

What you will need

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module ("Quality, Safety and You")
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Working With Children Check (for roles supporting participants under 18)
- Current NSW driver licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
- A caring attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable

- Currently studying or working towards a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
- Any prior experience in care, hospitality, retail or other people-facing roles
