Holborne Institute is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Trainer and Assessor to deliver the CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of skilled tradespeople in the construction industry (Bricklaying and Blocklaying) within an inclusive, supportive, and compliant training environment.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver competency-based training and assessment in line with CPC33020 qualification requirements.
- Develop and update session plans, training resources, and assessment tools aligned with the CPC Training Package and industry practices.
- Facilitate practical demonstrations and projects in simulated workplace and/or work-based settings.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records of student progress, assessment outcomes, and attendance using the Institute’s LMS.
- Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to learners from diverse backgrounds to help them achieve competence.
- Contribute to validation, post-assessment validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Actively foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful training environment.
- Engage with industry stakeholders to ensure training delivery remains current, relevant, and aligned with workforce needs.
- Ensure adherence to Work Health and Safety (WHS) and organisational policies.

Requirements:

- Trade qualification in Bricklaying/Blocklaying or equivalent (Certificate III or above).




- TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent that meets current ASQA requirements).
- Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant industry experience in bricklaying and/or blocklaying.
- Demonstrated understanding of inclusive education practices and commitment to supporting participation from diverse learner cohorts, including First Nations students, culturally and linguistically diverse learners, and students with disability.
- Sound knowledge of the CPC Training Package and construction site practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt delivery for diverse learning needs.
- Proficiency in maintaining training records and using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Commitment to professional development, industry engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
